Considering the entry into force of new legislation, namely the amendment imposed by Decree-Law No. 65/2018, of August 16, which amends Decree-Law No. 74/2006, of March 24, the possibility of enrolling in isolated disciplines was established, by any interested party, with the guarantee, in case of approval, of certification and even of accreditation, if and when they enroll in a course that integrates them. According to article 46.º-A, regarding enrollment in course units:
Educational establishments allow enrollment in the curricular units they teach;
Enrollment can be made either by students enrolled in a higher education course or by other interested parties;
Enrollment may or may not be subject to evaluation;
The curricular units in which the student enrolls subject to evaluation and in which he/she obtains approval:
They are subject to certification;
They are obligatorily credited, within the limits set out in paragraph c) of paragraph 1 of article 45, if their holder has or acquires the status of student in a higher education study cycle ;
They are included in a supplement to the diploma that will be issued.
For enrollment under the terms of this article, the amounts set, in a proportionate manner, by the legally and statutorily competent body of the higher education establishment are due.
