Lusófona University Law School joins the OCEAN network

An important step towards promoting research in the area of human rights and democracy

The Faculty of Law (FD) of Lusófona University is now an official member of the Open Council of Europe Academic Networks (OCEAN). This confirmation marks a significant step in promoting academic and research activities in collaboration with prominent European institutions.

The OCEAN network aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and promote initiatives related to the core values of the Council of Europe, such as human rights, democracy, and the rule of law.

With this membership, the Faculty of Law (FD) of Lusófona University is officially listed on the OCEAN website, which serves as a central platform for disseminating activities and initiatives by its members. Through this partnership, it will be possible to announce events, projects, and contributions in the network's newsletter as well as its global activity calendar.

Assistant Professor Sandra Inês Feitor from the Faculty of Law of Lusófona University, a specialist in the Council of Europe's legal instruments, also participates in the OCEAN network, contributing through her expertise in human rights, child protection, and contemporary legal challenges.

Contributions from Lusófona University

Among the areas of expertise that Lusófona University, through its Faculty of Law, will provide to the OCEAN network, the following fields of knowledge stand out:
