Between 7 and 11 July, the Department of Cinema and Media Arts of Lusófona University celebrated the end of the academic year with another edition of Over & Out. With activities in venues such as Cinema Fernando Lopes, Cinema São Jorge, the Stolen Books gallery, and the university campus, the event opened the doors of artistic creation to the public and the academic community.

Over five days, works developed throughout the year were presented in the areas of cinema, sound, animation, video games, photography, fashion, and visual arts. The programme included screenings, award ceremonies, sound performances, fashion shows, and interactive exhibitions, with the participation of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. The quality and variety of the projects highlighted an approach oriented towards creative freedom and the articulation between practice and acquired knowledge.

More than just a final showcase, Over & Out 2025 was a moment of collective celebration that brought together students, lecturers, and the public. Highlights included the screening of short films and documentaries at Cinema São Jorge, the animation and video projects presented at Cinema Fernando Lopes, and the exhibition “For the Necessary Language”. The video game showcase, the fashion show at Jardim do Torel, and the premiere of the film “LSF – Tomorrow It No Longer Rains” concluded a week that expressed the talent and creative diversity of DCAM students.
