Academic opportunities in sight at ULusófona

On 22 May, another edition of the Open Day at Lusófona University – Lisbon University Centre gave secondary school students the opportunity to explore various academic training options. The event began with a Welcome Session, which introduced the university and the different undergraduate degrees available.

This was followed by several simultaneous workshops, allowing students to explore different fields of study. In the Architecture undergraduate degree, students discussed the topic "Architecture Today!" and the current trends in the profession. In the Veterinary Medicine undergraduate degree, the workshop "Veterinarian for a Day: Discover the Hospital and Clinical Skills" gave students insight into clinical practice and the hospital environment. The Economics undergraduate degree hosted the workshop "Globalisation, its consequences and the interdependence of countries in today’s political and economic decisions", encouraging reflection on contemporary global challenges.

The Department of Computer Engineering and Information Systems (DEISI) also featured prominently, presenting its five undergraduate degrees: Computer Engineering, Management Informatics, Computer Engineering, Networks and Telecommunications, Data Science and Computing and Applied Mathematics. Students had the opportunity to explore these fields through the workshop "Secret Alphabet", which addressed the importance of technology and computing in today’s world.

Through this initiative, Lusófona University offers secondary school students the opportunity to learn about its various undergraduate programmes, supporting them in making informed decisions about their academic and professional future, in an experience of direct contact with the university environment.
