Digital Animation Students Create Films About Astronomy
ULusófona students combine creativity and science to create films for the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences

In recent years, several students from the Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Animation have completed internships at the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences (IA), developing short animated films to communicate topics in astronomy. The Institute is the largest research unit in Space Sciences in Portugal and encompasses the majority of national scientific production in the field.
Phases of the Moon
As the Moon orbits the Earth, its apparent shape slowly changes, going through four distinct phases—these are the phases of the Moon. Moreover, depending on whether we are north or south of the Earth’s equator, we will see the Moon differently.
