Shivani Mansuklal

My name is Shivani Mansuklal, I am a PhD student in Clinical Psychology, Cognitive-Behavioural Orientation at the School of Psychology and Life Sciences.

I'm a PhD student, but I'm also a visiting teaching assistant, so I'm also teaching now. I work in research, specifically in the Hei-Lab Digital Human Environment Interaction Lab in psychology. At the moment, I'm focused on my doctoral research.

I've been at Lusófona since 2015. I started my degree in Psychology and went on to study for a Master's in Cybertherapy and Neurocognitive Rehabilitation, mainly because of my interest in research. I found Lusófona by doing the normal research that secondary school students do and I discovered that Lusófona offered everything and more, from a variety of areas. There were several masters programmes in different areas of psychology, which encouraged me more in my decision to come to Lusófona, and the teaching staff themselves were very active in research, especially as my focus is on university students.

Considering my career so far, what I'm most focused on is continuing a career in research in the field of psychology and remaining a researcher at Hei-Lab, if that's possible, the idea of continuing research in this area is very important.

And my goal is to do more research in the field of psychology focussing on university students and the well-being of this population.
