You can now choose to study at your own pace and complete your master’s or doctoral degree on either a full-time or part-time basis.
This option is available for master’s and doctoral programmes worth 90 ECTS credits or more.
Tuition fees are calculated according to the number of ECTS credits in which you enrol.

This course is directed to training psychologists who want to increase their knowledge on the relationship between brain and behaviour and/or developing their skills in neuropsychological assessment or rehabilitation. The research focus will be also on research activities, thus the students interested in developing their research skills can also find relevant information at this level in the field of neuropsychology.

Career opportunities and career prospects
The professional opportunities include institutions in the health area (Public and Private Hospitals, private clinics, rehabilitation centres, etc.) that are dedicated to the treatment of the neurological consequences of brain injuries, but also in the area of Mental Health. These possibilities include also the Private Institutions of Social Solidarity in these areas of psychology, or academic career by applying to research grants. Similarly to other areas of psychology, these possibilities include private activity in Psychology after the traineeship to the Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses.

Infrastructure and Equipment
1) Lab of Experimental Psychology that is equipped with several neuropsychophysiological measures, such as electroencephalography / event related potentials, skin conductance, heart rate, electromyography / electrooculography and eye tracking. 2) Lab of Computational Psychology equipped with virtual reality tools and augmented reality. 3) Possibility to conduct research and traineeship work in the R&D Unit that is associated with the School of Psychology and the Life Sciences - HEI-LAB, funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.
