Objectives
Objectives
The program aims to train professionals in the various areas of communication design: identity, editorial, typography, poster, illustration, packaging, infographics and web design. This program is sustained by two strong components: the practice associated with the different institutional bodies, public or private; and the conceptual and research component. In addition to a solid technical training, the study plan values and stimulates critical thinking, experimentation, and creativity. We value the development of transversal skills, through the integration of inter-disciplinary knowledge, with projects articulated between different course units and study cycles. Students are encouraged to participate in national and international competitions under the guidance of faculty members, as a means of stimulating design production, creativity, and methodology. The intention is to train interventive and competitive students, in order to keep up with the growing demands of design. A practice that has resulted in the recognition of the quality of the proposals at a national and international level, with the awarding of prizes and honorable mentions.
