António Rodrigues and Anni Paz, students of Video Games at Lusófona University, and João Alcobia, a student of Cinema and Media Arts, were selected to participate in the prestigious Aalto ARTS Summer School held in Finland. Under the theme "Embodied Water," this international programme focused on one of the most pressing global challenges of today: water.
The Summer School brought together 60 students and 20 tutors from Aalto University and 10 international partner institutions, including Lusófona University. The participants, divided into multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, developed innovative solutions for systemic, social, and cultural issues related to water. The projects covered areas such as video game design, cinema, information design, storytelling, and creative technologies, with many using artificial intelligence to create impactful narratives and designs.
The results of the projects were presented at the Embodied Water exhibition, an immersive showcase combining art, design, media, and cinema, aiming to raise awareness of water-related challenges and propose creative solutions.
António Rodrigues and Anni Paz shared their experiences at the Summer School, revealing details about the creative process behind their projects.
João Alcobia also shared his perspective on participating in the programme and the impact of the Summer School on his work.
