    Observations

1 -The Master programme in Organizational Communication was created with the objective of providing students with the possibility of advancing their studies. After many requests received from the graduate students in Communication and Culture Sciences and in Organizational Communication, and capitalizing on its critical mass, ULHT proposed the Ministry for Higher Education a master degree programme in Organizational Communication, approved in 2005.At the time of the Bologna process adjustment, the Scientific Committee of the Master consulted with its partner companies, namely those with which internship protocols had been signed, on the critical trainingareas. Similar master programmes in European reference universities were analysed. Trying to maintain most of the master¿s previous academic staff, the new curricular structure was approved by ULHT¿s scientificcouncil and later by the Ministry for Higher Education and Science (2007). In a permanent process of consultation with the interested parties (students, teaching staff and employer organizations), we came to the conclusion that this adjustment had fallen short. Thus, in 2010, the scientific committee of the 2nd cycle degree in Organizational Communication proposed a new curricular structure, more suited to market needs and to students¿ aspirations. The training of Portuguese-speaking professionals in Organizational Communication has proven successful, this being one of the master programmes with the highest ratio of submitted dissertation. 2 -The Master in Organizational Communication works in four semesters, culminating with the dissertation public defense, whose presentation should occur at the end of 4th semester. Pursuant to art. 20 of DL 74/2006,amended by the Decree-Law 107/2008 of 25 June (structure of the cycle of studies leading to a master'sdegree), the first three semesters are of scholar nature, and the fourth entirely devoted to research work. Hence, the existence in the 3rd semester, of two curricular units: Research Seminar (18 ECT's) and Thesis Project (12 ECT's) in which students exercise their research practices and have continuity in the preparation of the dissertation (30 ECTS), which occurs, has previously referred in the 4th semester of the course.Students in this cycle of study are invited to join the CICANT research line in Organizational Communication
