The Digital Animation bachelor is an animation film programme where we explore all traditional animation techniques (painting, sand, cutouts, stop motion...) as well as 2D and 3D so that students can express themselves through them, whether experimentally, documentary or fictionally, in the creation of animations experiments and films. Digital Animation students are encouraged to explore techniques or combinations of techniques to find a new perspective or a new approach to a theme or story. It is not a technical programme. The Digital Animation bachelor was designed based on the stages of filmmaking, where each stage offers a skill and area of specialization (directing, production, animation...).

  • Research

    Research

The artistic process is a matter of research and is very present in the work that is developed in the Digital Animation programme. Additionally, animation is increasingly requested in the world of scientific research as a visualization method. For example, students have participated in veterinary medicine projects (The Dog of Muge), biomechanics, among others. On the other hand, there are several disciplines that provide current social and ecological issues, for example, which encourage students to investigate before moving on with their film projects.
