The following may apply for the Master's Degree:
a) People who hold a B.A. or equivalent degree;
b) People who hold a foreign academic degree awarded after a 1st study cycle organized according to the Bologna Process by a member state of that process;
c) People who hold a foreign academic degree acknowledged as a degree satisfying the objectives of the graduate degree by the due body;
d) People who have a school, scientific or professional curriculum acknowledged by the due body of ULHT certifying the capacity to obtain this study cycle.
Have completed a total of 120 ECTS
This 2nd cycle intends to cover the shortcomings on the technical specialists¿ training in order to duly prepare professionals to the emerging demands on the aeronautic management, bringing knowledge that allow a new role andnew responsibilities on the activities related with the area as well as with others, such as: offer special training based on a solid theoretical training and deepening research and analysis methods and tools on the Civil Aviation domain; offer qualification and valences oriented to employability and professional career development, considering the Bologna Declaration, the University resources and the labor market demands.
At the end, student should have: deepening knowledge on Aeronautical Management being original on his ideas¿development and application based on the research results; acquired competencies to solve problems related to the fields of Air Operator and Airport Infrasctrures.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
This cycle intends to prepare Masters on the several aeronautical areas such as management, law and tourism, without losing an integrated vision of the economical activities in relation with the civil aviation.
Instruction is provided to enable students to advanced knowledge in different fields of aviation management enabling them to understand and master the economic mechanisms of air transportation and civil aviation in general, including planning and managing airports.
Paper works (individuals or in group), case studies, fundamental themes¿ discussion of the civil aviation and other pedagogical activities grant a monitoring of the students on the acquisition of essential knowledge process.
Equipments and venues
"This programme has the following facilities to support teaching activities: Technological Work Centre, Library and Study Rooms.
All our rooms are also equipped with: Portable videoprojector, PC /Netbook and overhead projector."
The master degree allows access to postgraduate studies, including PhD.
Current protocols with the leading companies from Civil Aviation: INAC, NAV, TAP and SATA.
Strong cooperation with cranfield University that involves both scientific support and co-organization of events within the course. Some of the international seminaries performed at the faculty, in the last 3 years, according to the existing collaboration protocol with Cranfield University
